11th International Choir Festival in Herceg Novi

For the first time, InterVal took part in the International Choir Festival Herceg Novi.

The 11th edition of the festival, held from 24 to 27 September 2026, brought together choirs, conductors and lovers of choral music from Montenegro, the region and across Europe, with competitions, concerts, workshops and opportunities for musicians to meet and share their love of singing.

InterVal performed on 25 September at Dvorana Park and was awarded a Silver Diploma in the Sacred Music (D1) category.

For our young ensemble, this was a very special result. Our first appearance at the festival gave us a new stage, a new audience and the opportunity to meet and listen to fellow musicians from different countries. We are very happy to have been part of these days of choral music in Herceg Novi — and proud to return home with a Silver Diploma.

A special thank you to Caritas Montenegro and its Director, Marko Đelović, for their generous help with transportation, which made our participation in the festival possible.

We are sincerely grateful to Don Albert Jakaj, parish priest of Bar, to the Archdiocese of Bar (Barska nadbiskupija), and to the Archbishop of Bar, Monsignor Rrok Gjonlleshaj, for their support.

Our festival debut was also covered by BarInfo, which reported on the achievements of three choirs from Bar at the festival.
